Blues on the Fox The Blues on the Fox festival in downtown Aurora was founded in 1997 by the Fox Valley Blues Society. At its peak the festival ran four stages over a two day period and drew as many as 20,000 visitors. For its efforts the FVBS received the 1999 Keeping the Blues Alive Award from the Blues Foundation as Blues Organization of the Year. Now Blues on the Fox has been folded into “Downtown Alive!” program operated by the City of Aurora’s Mayor’s Office of Special Events.
